It doesn't get any "butter" than this. In 30 minutes and with 4 simple ingredients this delicious garlic bread can be all yours! Crispy, garlicky, buttery goodness layered on a beautiful slice of ciabatta! This is what basic delicious vegan food looks like.

The simplest form of this recipe only contains 4 ingredients: bread, garlic, vegan ghee/butter, and sea salt. To enhance this dish you can add some vegan cheese and fresh herbs. Pair this with soup or spaghetti for the ultimate cozy dish combo.

  • Broil. One of our favorite features of the oven is the broiler, it's the perfect way to get that extra crunch.

  • Be generous. Don't skimp on the garlic butter mixture, add a generous layer to achieve the perfect crunch and flavor.

Crispy and buttery garlic bread that is perfect for the beginning of any dinner! 🥖🧄💞

Ingredients:

6 small ciabatta loaves (or two large loaves)

1 head garlic

1/4 cup vegan ghee or butter

1 tsp sea salt

vegan cheese (optional)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400F.

  2. Mince a head of garlic. In a small bowl combine the garlic, salt, and vegan ghee/butter. Put the mixture in the fridge for 10 mins if it is too liquid, you want it to resemble soften butter.

  3. Line a baking tray with aluminum or parchment paper.

  4. Cut the ciabatta loaves in half lengthwise and spread a generous amount of the garlic ghee mixture on the pieces.

  5. Sprinkle vegan cheese on top of the bread (optional)

  6. Bake the garlic bread for 10 mins, then broil for 5 mins or till golden brown.

  7. Serve and enjoy fresh out of the oven.
